Eixample Derecho
The right part of the district Eixample is one of neatest neighbourhoods to visit in Barcelona. Domčnech i Montaner, Puig i Cadafalch and especially Gaudí, just like in the left part of Eixample, the largest Catalan architects from that time have build striking and very important buildings. If you love the style, the district is one immense airmuseum where you fall from the one surprise into the other. The most important building in this district is the Sagrada Familia, the masterwork of Gaudí that still has not been finished yet.
Just like all other districts of Barcelona, you find here innumerable restaurants, bars and shops which vary of authentic Catalan to minimalistisch modern way. The bottom part of this district adjoins to Plaza Catalunya and the Gothic district.
Passeig the Gracia is nevertheless the most important street with modernistic buildings. Between the distinguished shop galleries and real architectural pearls. On number 92, lies `Casa Mila´, also called Pedrera (the Stone pit) of Gaudí and on number 43 still a work of Gaudi is to admire, Casa Battló. This you must have seen too, it is really splendid. You can pay a visit to the promenade, upper floor and the roof nowadays. The promenade is a spectacle of bowed lines and deep blue, green and yellow colours.
