El Born

El Born is one of the most trendy neighbourhoods of Barcelona. There are innumerable cafes, (design)shops, restaurants, tapas bars, art galleries and museums. Located at the town park of Barcelona 'Parque Ciutadella', it is a pleasant and green neighbourhood in the centre of Barcelona.

Curiosities in this neighbourhood are among other things the 'Santa Maria del Mar church', the Picasso museum and the Mercado del Born (marketbuilding of Born) where the largest archaeological unearthing of Europe has been done. The Mercado del Born unearthings are to be visit during a guided tour.
